[H]OCP Forum Trade RE: Refurb IBM 75GXP
SAIGON was the Buyer on November 11, 2002 Other/Unknown
Long story short, we crossshipped, I got the money, he's got the package. I shipped it to him for free just to sweeten the deal.
Then 2 weeks later he emails me back saying that the drive is defective so he wants to RMA it directly to IBM. But he wants me to send him $10 to cover his cost. I declined.
I asked him to ship the drive back to me instead so I could inspect it and offered him full refund for the drive upon arrival. But he wants me to send him $10 first to cover the return shipping back to me.
I explained it to him that since I paid for the original shipping, he should cover it this time to make it fair especially when he's contacted me after the shipping insurance of 15 days(fedex ground) has expired. Then he refused to do that by saying something like he doesn't want to get 2x screwed and started calling me names like how he'd charge legal actions against me because I committeed a fraud(?)
So after about 5-6 emails about how lame I am and how I can't follow the trading rules(?) he finally decided to give up his pursuit...so it seems...
Maybe 2 weeks later he'll email me back saying that the hdd I sold him burnt down his house...who knows.November 11, 2002

2 Athlon XP 1700+
SAIGON was the Buyer on October 13, 2002 AnandTech
I promptly shipped the chips in the middle of september, and only in the middle of october did I get the check. I had repeatedly requested a Money Order as preferred form of payment. I understand that he had gotten married during the deal time, and perhaps thats what contributed to his tardiness in payment.

Traded my 2 (DEAD) or as is MB`s plus $$$ for his SBlive 5.1
Cross-traded on December 19, 2002 AnandTech
This deal was finaly completed on the 9th of Jan when I got my package... (but minus any insurance as I had paid to his request nor was tracking ever given...) I dont personnaly feel this is a honorable person to deal with... He is very evasive and uses anything and everything to twist the main principle to his advantage... He is very apt at omitting certain actions that are in an honest upfront style of trading... I would be very warry of this person and make very clear every aspect of a deal with him... I can also say I shall not be trading with this person again in the future and would not recommend that anyone else does either unless you like to be exploited at your own exspense and time...

OEM Compaq AZ31 Motherboard
SAIGON was the Buyer on February 8, 2003 AnandTech
Saigon and I agreed to exchange the motherboard for a $20 money order. I shipped first because I only have a few heatware evals. He recieved the mobo in good time, and started to have trouble with it. I did my best to help with his troubles. Communication was fine until it totally stopped for a week and half. I really feared that I was being trolled, so I contacted the trollhunters. Once I contacted the trollhunters he replied and said he had been moving for the past week and a half. He did not let me know about his moving. He paypaled me the money soon after that. If Saigon had let me know he was moving it would have made life much easier.

Traded my CPU and Mobo for his newer Mobo
Cross-traded on September 10, 2002 Other/Unknown
This deal kinda made me uneasy, like I was gonna get trolled. In making the deal, I had asked for some refs numerous times and finnally after four tries I got his heatware name. Granted I only have one, but my roomate vouched on his heatware (which is in superb standing).
We agreed to cross ship, at his request I got his items to him right away (Next day Saturday Delivery in fact) I had requested to have the new board by the next wednesday, giving him plenty of time to ship. Long story short the board was a week and a half late. I had requested tracking info on it a few times with no response, and when I got a response he had not shipped yet. He actually gave it to a friend who apparently forgot about it.
Not a very responsible trader IMO. I prolly won't do business again.
The only reasons this is not negative, is because I have seen that he cut someone some slack on a ref that could've been very negative, and the fact that when the board did finally arive, it was in immaculate condition.
I have not heard from him since the trade, even after asking to ensure that him board and CPU were in working condition. I assume that they are and will leave it at that.September 10, 2002

I originally sold him an Athlon XP Unlocking Kit. The deal went smooth as silk.
SAIGON was the Buyer on March 8, 2002 HardForum
When he got it the kit, it was actualy not what he had in mind, because it permanently locked the bridges. Nevertheless, he accepted the deal with no fuss. Great guy to deal with, A+ trader and high class all the way.
